“Ambivalence Amid” is a series of works that lie in the former, the present, and the space between.
Work that sits into the subconscious, the patterns, the movements, the process of moving from here to there. The potential that we may have, the vision of self, the portrayal from the inside out.
A process of substitution, removing the work from what it inherently is: objects of pattern, objects of different variations of the self, of timings. Each work a thought pattern that shifts between the parallels of a cleansed self. Mild figurations of exploration, of how to move and how to change thought processes and thought patterns; the eternal struggle of the human condition. Not leaning towards faith, but undertaking a development of mindset. Thick, destructive, all-engaging and staring deeply at movement from one moment until the next. Seeking a new outlet.
